GENTLE GIANT

 that loves to come and visit Colby and I in the studio!

Well.....it looks pretty BLACK & WHITE to me!!!!

Here is a special order that I completed for a customer

This is a 

TERRYE FRENCH

design called

AMAZING GRACE

The customer was giving it as a wedding gift and wanted it personalized to say

HONEYMOON COTTAGE

I painted the small oval plaque on both sides....

one side said 

WELCOME 

the other side said 

HONEYMOON COTTAGE.

I added an xtra plaque with the couples name and wedding date.

I really enjoyed painting this custom order!!!

It is THYME to say Happy Easter

As I prepare for Easter my thoughts always turn to my Dad .....I think of him EVERDAY AND MISS HIM.  13 years ago I lost my Dad to Pancreatic cancer the day before Easter.....I miss him every day but EVERY Easter now is bittersweet without him as I look at the chair he once sat in around our table.   He was in HOSPICE at home when he died..I remember praying each day for JUST ONE MORE DAY with him ...as I sat by his beside holding his hand the night before he died I knew in my heart that he had really left us 6 months previous when he was diagnosed as terminal.....I told him that night that it was OK to go....and that my Mom and all of us would be OK ....he was in a coma...minutes later He sat up straight in bed.............he was pointing around the room........I tried to calm him and lay him down gently...I said "Dad what are you doing?"........and he weekly replied....."I'm counting the ANGELS"....(he hadn't spoken in weeks)  he made it thru the night...we had torrential rains and thunderstorms that night..........the next morning as I sat with him....( his bed was in my Mom's beautiful sun room) I opened the blinds and outside there was a gorgeous RAINBOW.......on the Patio was a bench my dad had built with bird houses on the posts and I had painted ....a BLUEBIRD ( my fathers favorite bird) was building a nest in the bench. It was at that very moment while holding his hand my Dad left us and went to HEAVEN.  Dad I so miss you and LOVE you. ~ LOVE YOUR PARENTS, treat them with LOVING care for you will only know their value when you see their EMPTY CHAIR.

I found this old set of canisters at a thrift shop

I sanded them down and painted them 

BLACK

 first

I then painted over the black with RED for a 

prim look

working on line drawings and sizing

Fronts of canisters

painting the designs and covers

The "tool" you see on the covers is my

fine line painting pen

It is a fun tool used to outline and is also a great tool for 

painting "blanket stitches" such as you see on these pennies

I painted.

This design had lots of "stitches" to paint

This was a fun pattern to do for

Thyme to COOK?

Do you like to cook????

I do!

I won't be doing much cooking though

today!!
I am PAINTING!!!

I have been

 REALLY

This is a large

BUNCH OF CARROTS 
cut from rough sawn lumber

that I designed

They would look great on your door, porch , shed etc.

the Grungy tag says

"CaRrOtS, cArRoTs a rabbits delight

I cherish each and every bite"

I also designed these

EXTRA LARGE 

CaRrOts

They are also cut from 

rough sawn lumber

They are wired together in the center 

with

RUSTY WIRE

I added "greens" for the tops

I painted this 

BUNNY

 using
a
Renee Mullins 
design

This was a fun design to paint!

I added a homespun bow to the neck of his shirt 

and 

some twine to the 

CaRrOtS

I tied a little metal can to his hand

 I love how he came out!!!

I added some filler to the boxes

  I drilled holes in 

my ornies and added homespun ties
