It is THYME to paint your HEART out

I belong to a paint chat group on Face Book called

Our group consists of over 2555 members from all over the world!
We have all have 2 things in common
WE LOVE TO PAINT
AND
WE WANT TO FILL THE WORLD WITH COLOR!

We recently had a
 SWAP
the only rule was that we had to paint something for our partner on a
HEART
shaped surface!
I found this heart shaped keepsake box to paint my project on

After prepping my surface and basecoating
I used a scruffy brush to paint a
HEART
on
my box

I then added one stroke leaves free hand around the
HEART
The design that I used is based on a
Jamie-Mills Price design
from her book
Christmastime Between the Vines

I then randomly free hand painted roses in various shades of burgundy and pink

I lightly shaded around my design and added some wispy vines

I painted the inside of my box in burgundy

 and
added a delicate vine around the sides

I drilled holes in the back of my box near the hinges
and
strung thru a matching satin bow

I added some
LOVE

and
HERSHEY KISSES
inside my box.

I took an old paint brush, dipped the bristles in a glitter paint and let dry.
I then wrapped the handle of the brush with a satin ribbon and added a small tag
which said
Paint your HEART out

I hope my friend Milena enjoys her swap!!!!

Thyme for a Prim Christmas Goose

I found this pizza peel at a thrift shop

They make wonderful surfaces to paint on!

HINKLEY
however had other ideas for it!!!

BUT
I need to
MAKE THE MAGIC
 happen
and
finish painting
 all my gifts!

I used a
Inspired by Terrye French
to paint this piece
I used my own colors and added my own personal touches!

This was a fun piece to paint!

Adding the holly,

greens and berries

I added a tiny gold bell to the end of the string

Prim Christmas Goose
will be
going to a very dear friend this
Christmas

Happy Painting!

Did you know that Santa's elves go to school?????

Santa's elves
must first complete
a very demanding course before becoming one of
SANTA'S
 chosen
elves

ELFCAPADE CLASSES
begin
 promptly each day at
10 AM

HINKLEY
has told me that
BREAKFAST
 is key
to the start of a good day!

"We elves try to stick to the 4 main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup."
quote
from
~BUDDY the Elf

Before being sent to me
my elf
HINKLEY
had to complete the training
given by
Brenda Griffith
at

*let me add this does not ALWAYS guarantee
an
 ELF that is FULLY trained!!!!!!

In fact......I have had to do a LOT of re-training.....sigh!!!!

Soooooo I decided that maybe BRENDA
 should
assess her course of study for the elves
BEFORE
shipping them to their new homes!!!!

With that in mind I decided to paint her a
 chalk board
to keep track of the elves schooling

I used a
design
Inspired
by
Terrye French
 called
ELF CLASS
to paint this project

I used my own colors and added some personal touches to the piece

It is always fun to see a piece come to life!!

Merry Christmas Brenda!!!!

Thank you for helping to
MAKE THE MAGIC
happen for me this Christmas!!!!

Happy Painting !
