Thyme spent with a good friend and a BLIZZARD in New England

Last Saturday I met my good friend
Brenda

 from
for a post holiday dinner.
Brenda and I met thru blogging
we live in different states
but live just an hour from each other.

 We decided to meet at
Gibbit Hill Grille

in
Groton MA.
My daughter Julie is a chef there!

 This is
The Barn at Gibbit
where functions are held

 Night time view of
The Barn

This is a view of the Grille Restaurant from up stairs

the bar area

dining room where we enjoyed
a
DELICIOUS dinner
and
conversation

After dinner and dessert
we enjoyed coffee by the fire

And so like this sign I have painted........
we SAT long,
we TALKED much and
we LAUGHED often!!!!!
Thank you Brenda once again a wonderful thyme spent with you!

I have been really busy packing

we bought a
retirement home on
Cape Cod
and
will be closing on it
SOON!

Oh.............I cannot wait!

We are experiencing
A
BLIZZARD
here in
New England
Right now we have over 18" of snow
AND
it is STILL snowing

my snow family on my back porch

Looking out my back door
it is all so pretty.........as long as you are at home warm and safe.
Be careful if you are experiencing
Mother Nature
as we are today!

Lynn

Thyme to think about HEARTS and LOVE.......and the Key to My heart......a Terry French Design

All the
MAGIC of Christmas
is packed away
I have started to think about
VALENTINES DAY
and
painting hearts and signs!
I'm also thinking the color
RED!
Hubby
made me this bread box a long thyme ago in
OAK

I decided to give it a make over
AND
I painted it
BARN RED
to match my kitchen cabinets
I love how it came out!

THIS  is a piece that I painted called
Key To My Heart

It is a
Terrye French Design
that I painted a few years ago on an old tin plate
You can find Terrye's website
Painted Pear Basket

It is one on my favorites!

Is LOVE in the air at your house yet........
are you thinking
 Valentines??

Thyme to tell you that Santa was VERY good

I hope that you all had a
WONDERFUL
Christmas!
I think that
Santa once again made the
MAGIC
happen!

Last year I had posted
HERE

A
Bass Boat!
well this is what Santa got Andrew last year

Andrew with his Bass Boat last year!

But Santa came EARLY this summer
and
bought Andrew( AND Pete) this

I took Julie shopping and she got a new coat, boots and a Coach backpack

Santa also put plane tickets for a 2 week trip to Italy this coming spring in Andrew & Julie's stockings
Pete has family in Italy that we will visit
but we will also tour Milan, Rome, Tuscany,Lake Como,
Bellagio, Cinque Terre, Siena, San Gimignano and Florence
We will also be traveling with Pete's sister and husband.
It will be our 3rd trip to BEAUTIFUL Italy!

And
last but not least
Pete and I bought what will one day be our retirement home on Cape Cod!

We pass papers in a few weeks and I cannot tell you how incredibly excited I am!

So I painted a sign for Pete!

I bought us some Cape Cod coffee mugs to enjoy early morning coffee in our  beautiful yard
I also got Pete the hat he is wearing
that says
Cape Cod........he plans on doing alot of fishing!
and
COLBY..........

I am so very THANKFUL for ALL the blessings in my life.......
MY hubby, my children, my family, friends, my talents
I hope your
Christmas was filled the joy of family and friends
I wish you a Happy, healthy New Year!

Lynn
