Thyme to see my second Painting with Friends piece called Prim Keep Roosters

DO NOT PIN MY PHOTOS TO INTEREST
I just finished painting my second
Painting With Friends
piece.
Its called
Prim Keep Roosters

Terrye sent me this line drawing

I could choose the colors to paint it,
surface to  paint on, I could add to the design.
I had to provide the line drawings
of the finished piece and written directions
for  the pattern packet.
So here's what I came up with!

I painted the first rooster white
and
added a penney rug to the
bottom of the design

I then painted some watermelons
and

then I added a handpainted checkerboard
between the designs

I painted the second rooster Antique Gold
and
added some straw

I painted some strawberries

I painted the last rooster red

I added a  small rusty key to the pin keep jar

I added a small sterling silver spoon to the top

Here is what the finished design looks like

You can purchase
PRIM KEEP ROSTER

This was a fun design to paint!
A special thank you to
Terrye French
for giving me the opportunity to
Paint With Friends!

Thyme to see the first design that I have painted for Painting With Friends. Its called Sunflower the Rooster !

At last ..Sunflower the Rooster
is done and made into an e-pattern!
 I painted this design
for
Painting with Friends.
You can find the link to purchase
my e-pattern

 HERE

Terrye French
sent me just a line drawing
I could add or subtact anything from the drawing
choose the colors and how to paint it
I had to write the directions
step by step for the painting
I also had to do all the line drawings for the pattern
with any changes I made
I also had to decide on a piece to paint the design on
so.......
this is what I started out with

I found this box at a thrift store.
It looks like maybe an old milk box?

I started to paint
taking notes as  I went along
for the directions

Sunflower the Rooster
coming to life!

Lots of
SUNFLOWERS!
This was really a fun pattern to paint!
so.....
What did it look like finished?
What did I come up with to use this box for?

here is the side of the box

the back of the box
with my signature

a close-up of
Sunflower the Rooster

this is what I put inside the box
some seed and this small scoop I found
at a thrift store

this is what I painted on the cover

this is the finished piece!

I am honored beyond words
to have my name on a pattern
with
Terrye French!
I look forward to painting more pieces
for
Painting With Friends

HAPPY PAINTING!

at the end of the day you don't look at it

Thyme to see a special order sign that I have painted called Amazing Grace

DO NOT PIN MY PHOTOS TO PINTEREST

A customer asked me to do a special order sign
for her to give to her son and his wife as a
wedding gift
The couple are having a
"country hoe down wedding"
she said
so she asked if I could do a rooster theme
I used a Terrye French Design
called
Amazing Grace

you can find Terrye French patterns

the customer asked that I personalize the
sign with the couples names and wedding date

I painted this little sign and added a small wooden heart with a nail,
rusty hardware
and
attached it to the large sign

I decided to add a little
"xtra something"
so I painted another small sign
that says
 Welcome

she is now able to use the interchangeable signs

any way she likes!

Thyme to see a Country Home

This is a Terrye French Design
that I have painted
called

Country Home
I cut the board
and
painted it
to look like a
penney rug

this is the bottom edge of the board

I love painting
Terrye's
whimsical folk designs!

I cut out a wood star
and
used rusty wire
to attach it to the board

I painted the word
SIMPLIFY
on it
I added some black check homespun
and
pinned on a
rusty bell and key
this is the finished piece

Thyme to paint Mr Cackle a design by Susan Wymola

Do you remember this picture I posted a while back?

I REALLY needed to get something
painted on this pan fast
as
my son Andrew wanted it for camping!
How would you like to see what I painted on
the large cast iron fry pan?

OK..........

Thyme to get those feathers flying!!!!!
this is a design that I have painted called
Mr Cackle
the pattern design is by
Susan Wymola

this was a really fun piece to paint
I was a little intimidated at first
to paint
Mr Cackle
as his feathers are painted
"free hand"
so I had to
"get loose"
and let those
FEATHERS FLY
 LOL!

Mr Cackle
is a keeper!!!
He's not for sale!
I hung him in my
DINING ROOM

Hope you enjoyed meeting
Mr. Cackle
as much as I enjoyed painting him!
Happy Painting!

Lynn
