Thyme for another bunny.........by Terrye French and some salt dough bunnies

Geeeezzzz....
there are bunnies
hopping around here everywhere
Here is a prim bunny board
I have painted
using a
TERRYE FRENCH
design

I have had this pattern for a few years
and
I have painted it several times
for customers

I just  love the delicate details

the stitching that says welcome

the penney rug and crow

I was trying to get this piece finished up yesterday
BUT
got a little distracted
doing these

thanks to
my friend
Colleen
she thought I'd be jazzed when I saw them......
AND
I was!
dropped the paintbrush last night
and
out came the mixer!
They look like little mini's of the bunny I was painting!!!!
they are not finished yet
and oh........
I had to make some carrots for them.....of course...
check back soon to see them finished!

::: Cinnamon Salt Dough :::

2 cups flour

1 cup salt

1 cup cinnamon

1 1/2 cups water

Mix dry ingredients together and add water to form a pliable dough. Knead several times before rolling out. Cover tightly until ready to use. Dust work surface with cinnamon and roll to a 1/4"-3/4" thickness, depending on your preferences. Use cookie cutters or paper templates and remember to poke a hole or two in each ornament before baking. Bake at 300ยบ for 45-60 minutes, watching carefully toward the end of the baking time. Allow to cool and harden completely before hanging. May be sealed with wax or poly if desired.

Thyme for a SPRING herb bunny

I've painted a SPRING thyme herb bunny
using
another great
Terrye French
Her body is wood
she has a skirt that I made from muslin
and painted

on the botton of her skirt I painted this sweet spring design

she has " jointed " wood body pieces
here she is showing
"some leg" LOL!
All her "body parts"
are wired together

I added some tiny heart buttons to the top of her
painted dress

she is holding an adorable litlle bunny box I've painted and filled
with sweet annie and lavender

I painted the word
SIMPLIFY
on her box
I added a small coffee stained tag
that says
herbs for sale

here she is holding her bunny box

She has the
SWEETEST
OF FACES

Oh My........!!!!!!
Her ears are made from muslin
I stiffened them using a mixture of
H2O and Elmers Glue
I added a coffee stained bow
made from cheesecloth
I then pinned on a rusty pin
her
"whiskers"
are rusty wire
and here she is all
"put together"

I always sign and date my pieces

on the back of her foot I painted a small carrot
then signed and dated her!
Isn't she "simply"
a breath of spring!!!!

Happy Painting!

Thyme to SIMPLIFY

Now that the holidays are over
I'm trying to
organize
 and
simplify
I know many of you are doing the same
I've painted this bunny on a
childs antique ironing board

the tag on her basket says
SIMPLIFY

such a sweet face she has

and
look at all those darling little sheep
and wreaths on the bottom of her dress

 This is a
Terrye French design
called
Simplify Bunny

Happy Painting!
