Dear Santa I can explain......

You see........my friend Brenda

The Rusty Thimble

has these awesome sales.........

and she is just soooooo talented

AND

I just love her creations

AND

I just love to fill my house with them......

BECAUSE

they make me

SMILE

well her last sale .....

I was 

VERY GOOD

to me.......

I hired this 

WONDERFUL

little Elf to help me

and how could I resist these

awesome little gingers

and these wonderful little snow ornies!

and this beautiful angel

And just look at these wonderful snowmen!

 and this snowman make do.........I love..........

and this wonderful snowman...............oh........how cute

this wonderful snowman poke..........

I actually bought him to give to my MOM in a basket I made

AND just look at this WONDERFUL surprise  Brenda added to my box..........oh......I was SPEECHLESS....I love her so.........

there are a FEW other things I bought from Brenda.....but the pictures did not come out and I need to re -take them.........Santa I really don't need anything this year as I have  EVERYTHING I need...the things $$$$ can't buy.....my hubby ,my children, my talents, my family, my friends........

Thyme to fa la la la laaaaaaaaaaa!

Are you ready yet?

Tonight we are going out to dinner with good friends of ours
for our 

ANNUAL Fa  la la la la evening!

AND

this is what my kitchen looks like!

Cookies are being frosted by my little Elf helper

I'm setting the table with the Christmas china

the linens are ironed and ready

the desk in the kitchen needs to be cleaned off.........

 My little Elf keeps telling me the "to do " list is getting longer instead of shorter........

 now how does that keep happening.....????

 My little Elf is just worn out...................and so am I!!!!!  Only 7 more days left to 

MAKE THE MAGIC HAPPEN!

Are you going to be ready???? Oh how I hope I am!

Thyme to make some snowmen ornaments and signs!

can't resist a snowman

I have changed them some so here is my version

Dollar  Store plastic icicles
Remove the top and pour diluted paint  inside
swirl around. I also painted the outsides a little

Spray with adhesive....sprinkle on Diamond Dust!

You can use joint compound to cover the styro foam balls as the directions state
it takes a long time to dry so spread thinly
or
I made my own Snow Tex Paint
I mixed sawdust shavings into white paint
which made a thick texture and painted it on to the balls
when dry add Diamond Dust for sparkle

I bought lots of little black felt hats at the craft store

using a paper punch I made lots of little snow flakes

I decorated the hats with a tiny sprig of greenery, red berries and a snow flake
I glued the heads on to the icecles

I used the end of my brush to dot the eyes and mouth on with black paint
I cut small wooden dowels for the nose and made the ends pointed
I then painted them orange and glued in place.
I added a little rouge to the cheeks

I cut small wool pieces for their scarves

I grunged up little tags
and
wrote chillin , freezin, let it snow
on the tags!

I pinned the tags on with a rusty pin and bell
