Today I'm Just Hanging With My GHOUL Friends

Fall in New England
is
ALWAYS
spectacular!!

It's thyme to change
 SEASONS
and
do a little seasonal decorating
inside and out

and
maybe even sneak in a bike ride!!

Step into
the
STUDIO

and
I'll show you what I have been painting!

I've
been
Hanging With My GHOUL Friends!

My Pallette

DecoArt Americana Acrylics

Lamp Black, Burnt Orange and White

Let's Paint

I cut my shapes from 1/4 " wood
I did
not
  PREP
my pieces
as
I wanted them to have a primitive look

I use
  graphite paper
to transfer face details then paint

I use
Lowell Cornell Fine Line Writing Pen
to
 add the blanket stitch detail

Depending
on the
finished "look
you want
you can varnish these
 with

I have used
ICE CRYSTAL
to give them a
SPARKLE
finish

Or
for a more primitive look
you can stain them with any of the

then spray lightly
with

After they have dried well drill holes as indicated in the pattern
and
attach your twine

Tear coordinating strips of fabric into strips
and
tie to cover your twine

You can make your GARLAND any length you want!

OR
You can even drill holes in the tops
and
add rusty wire to  hang the ornies
on
your
HALLOWEEN tree

DecoArt
provided me with the paints
 to
complete this design and project
as
part of their

Thyme for prim pumpkins, and witch shoes!

I have kept my husband very busy lately
still
cutting out more
FALL
pieces

These are some new prim pumpkins that I designed this year
they measure about 42" tall
and are cut from rough sawn lumber

It was such a gorgeous day at the Cape
I decided to paint them outside on the driveway
 instead of in my studio

Grace Picard
our neighbors dog decided to come over and keep me company!

she is an ole girl

She comes almost every day for her cookie

Once she enjoyed her cookie she pretty much
wasn't interested in a painting lesson!

So she headed on home!

\
Here is one of the prim pumpkins
on my studio door at Cape Cod

This is a close up of the leave on the pumpkin.
I also finished up one of my large back garden sheep with a candy corn hang

I have a "few" more Fall pieces to finish up then
I really need to get in " Christmas" mode

Witch shoes ready to be antiqued

Eeeeeek My Pretties!
Happy Painting!
Lynn
