My Studio

How would you like to step inside my
 STUDIO
 for
a
 tour?

My
STUDIO
is
in my home.
This is the entrance
from
the outside

The former owner used this area
as a
workshop
We have completely renovated the area.
The floor is just a ply wood floor that
we painted
with
 the black/white diamond
pattern

We used a paint called
Al Flor
 to paint the floor
so it would
be
durable
It was sealed with several coats
of a
water based varnish

My
  STUDIO
 is
 divided into work areas
 for
painting, computer work, assembling and various crafts

My

PAINTING AREA

My husband made
 the paint rack

I use
 for my work

I am
a

and

You can view my
DecoArt Profile

Thank you
DecoArt
for
all the wonderful products
you make available
to
Artists and Designers
to
create with!

Just a "few''of my FAVORITE brushes!

To
the
RIGHT
of my paint table
I have an old bureau that I painted
I use that to store FABRICS
I stacked
bookcase
on top of
the
bureau
 to store
my
Chalky Finish Paints
and
other various painting mediums

My husband made all the wood shutters on the windows.

I painted a small table and chair for my grandchildren come to visit.
They love spending time in the STUDIO!

My
Computer Area
is
directly behind
my paint table so I can easily
roll my chair
 back and forth
which I often do
when I'm taking photos
 of
my work
as
 I paint!

The last area is my
Assembly/Task Area
I often do my pattern design here, assemble pieces and use this area for general crafting.

I made the
 large ruler

I purchased the LARGE paintbrush which measures 72"

My husband made
 the
large RED cabinet
for
storage

I found this
OLD BOX
which measures
34" x 22"
at
an antique shop

I mounted it on the wall

I use spring tension rods to store ribbons
the small wood boxes
store scrapbook supplies, ink pads, stamp sets

The door to the
LEFT
at the far end
 of the
STUDIO
was once a stairway
that we closed off
 when
we remodeled

That area is now  used
for
SEASONAL STORAGE

The
middle door
you see leads
to
the basement
and
the door to the
RIGHT
leads to
my
LAUNDRY ROOM

I have
UTILITY SINK

in
there
which is perfect
 for
washing my brushes etc.

The cabinet on the left is
FOLD DOWN IRON BOARD

My
Studio Assistant's name
is
OREO
He is a one year old shih-tzu
and
an absolute love bug!

I lost my precious
COLBY
in
December  of 2014

He so loved to spend thyme in the STUDIO with me
I miss him terribly

I also have
another
STUDIO ASSISTANT
called
HINKLEY

He often appears
in the
STUDIO
some thyme
 before
THANKSGIVING
to
help me
MAKE THE MAGIC HAPPEN
for
Christmas!

You can read more about
HINKLEY
and
my other Elf Les
and
their
ELFCAPADES

My
STUDIO
is my
HAPPY PLACE
where I love to spend hours
creating and painting
