Thyme for birdhouses, spring flowers and breakfast with a friend

We have had some beautiful Spring days
with temperatures as high as the 90's
so
I am loving how everything is starting to bloom
in my yard

the yard is still very wet because of the very heavy rains
of the past few weeks
I haven't been able to do
to much cleaning up of my garden beds

I got my water pump running today
I love the sound of it from my deck

my husband made this house
for our deck
I use it to store all
my small garden tools, gloves etc.
I designed and painted it

it has a real shingled roof!

I cut some flowers while outside today

I love bringing
SPRING
inside after the long winter!

I finished painting another large sunflower

for a friend of mine

Michelle and I were friends long before
we became bloggers!
We are meeting for breakfast tomorrow
so she can get her sunflower

I also finished painting this birdhouse

Isn't he a great cat!!!
his sign says
SCAT!

I also want to show you a bench
my husband made for my Mom's birthday last year
I designed and painted it

here is a close-up
of the birdhouses on the bench
I painted flowers and bees around
the bottom

My Mom even had birds come to nest in it!

Happy Painting!

  3. Happy Friday Lynn!
your yard looks wonderful. We still have lots of "gray" zones and my daylilies are barely poking through. Could you send a bit of the high temps to me? It's been in the mid 40's all week and cold winds. Snow we got on Monday melted thank goodness :)
Hope you and Michelle have a great visit.
    ~Blessings to you.

    Enchanting as always Lynn! :)
I hope you all have a great weekend and that the yard dries up sooner than later.

  7. Spring is definitely blossoming at your house, Lynn!

I too love the bench that you and your hubby made (and all of your other creations!). You make a great team :)

Your red kitchen cabinets are also pretty spiffy...
