Thyme for mornings in the Pumpkin Patch

I found this metal tray to an old scale in a thrift shop

A perfect surface to paint on!

I drilled holes in the top and added a rusty wire to hang

Thyme for Fresh Baked Apple Pie

A customer contacted me and asked me to paint a

 special order sign for her

She had seen a similiar sign on a blog

and

asked the blog owner about the origins of the sign

She was told it had been purchased at a craft show several years ago

but

could offer no other info

so

my customer sent me a picture of what she wanted

and

told me she liked to bake

Apple Pies

so heres what I came up with

 for her!

I found a rolling pin at a thrift store

I sized the lettering font to fit the sign

I drew a pie shape and cut it out

I primmed up the rolling pin

by painting the handles black and sanding them

Lettering the sign

I wired the pieces together and added homespun

I hope she likes this!

I'm thinking I need one for my kitchen too!
