Thyme for an AMERICANA Rooster

DO NOT PIN MY PHOTOS TO PINTEREST
I love painting
AMERICANA
I did this piece as a
SPECIAL ORDER
for a customer

I had an old cabinet door

I painted it with a
CRACKLE
FINISH

I then drew and cut out a
ROOSTER SHAPE
and
ARROW

I painted my rooster
like a
FLAG
I painted wooden stars
RED, WHITE AND BLUE
I drilled holes in them
I made a
GARLAND
with
rusty wire and bells

I wrapped the rusty wire around the roosters body
I added a tag that said
AMERICANA

I attached the rooster and arrow to my cabinet door

Here is the finished piece!
Hugs,
Lynn

  1. Love this piece, really nice for a porch and I love your banner and wall paintings. I thought of doing one in our entry way since it goes up the stairs, a sea scene with the land at the top, but haven't gotten the gumption to do it.

  2. Hi Lynn! Love Americana and your rooster. I used to do an Americana rooster gameboard...really cute. Heading out to DC tomorrow morning to spend a hot and sweaty weekend in a very good street show...hope we survive! ;) ---Jan
