Thyme for Fresh Baked Apple Pie

A customer contacted me and asked me to paint a
 special order sign for her
She had seen a similiar sign on a blog
and
asked the blog owner about the origins of the sign
She was told it had been purchased at a craft show several years ago
but
could offer no other info
so
my customer sent me a picture of what she wanted
and
told me she liked to bake
Apple Pies
so heres what I came up with
 for her!

I found a rolling pin at a thrift store
I sized the lettering font to fit the sign
I drew a pie shape and cut it out

I primmed up the rolling pin
by painting the handles black and sanding them

Lettering the sign

I wired the pieces together and added homespun

I hope she likes this!
I'm thinking I need one for my kitchen too!
Happy Painting!
Lynn

  10. This is so cute!!!! I have to make a shower gift and would love to do something similar with a painted star hanging from the sign (with their name). What font did you use??? I love the look of it.
