Thyme to see an Americana Rooster

I cut out and painted this rooster weathervane
and
decided to mount it on an old cabinet door

close - up of head

tail feathers

I added a rusty wire garland
with painted stars and rusty bells I rust my own bells
using this recipe

RUST RECIPE
(you can use this to rust pins, bells wirs etc.)
1c peroxide
1c vinegar
3tbls salt

Combine all ingredients in a throw away container or glass.
add bells and let set 1-2 days in mixture.
the mixture will most likely foam up and come over top of container
so do this on top of someting like a old tray
Remove items with a slotted spoon
and put on cookie sheet with shallow side,
let sit in sun for day or too, can also dry indoors.
They continue to rust as time goes on.
crackle finish of cupboard door

Hugs,
Lynn
