Thyme to see a cookie jar I painted!

DO NOT PIN MY PHOTOS TO PINTEREST

This is a glass cookie jar I found at a flea market

It had a metal top which I took off
my husband cut out all the gingerbread pieces,
after they were painted
he adapted them to a wood circle to serve as the cover

He has a real knit scarf and hat!
His coat has real heart shaped buttons!

His pocket is filled with goodies!
I made the pockets from homespun
and
stiffened them with glue diluted with water

He has some snow on his clothes, hat and scarf!
He is one of my favorite pieces....I leave him out all winter
I have made several of these cookie jars as gifts
 and
filled them with Italian cookies or chocolate truffles

This pattern was designed by
TERRYE FRENCH
 and
can be found in her book called
Wintry Friends
