Thyme to explain

But Santa.......I can explain

This is a WONDERFUL Santa
His face and hat are wood that I painted

His beard is muslin that I coffee stained and scented with vanilla
and ripped into strips
I sprayed his beard lightly with
spray adhesive and sprinkled with diamond dust
On the rim of his hat I used snow tex paint
Design by Terrye French

This sign I painted

The candy cane I cut from wood

and
painted Barn red

I then wrapped torn strips of coffee stained muslin
around the candy cane and sprinkled with diamond dust!
I tied a piece of homespun to the candy cane with rusty bells
I have also done these candy canes and glued a clothespin on the back
then added some sweet Annie and berries for a wonderful ornie for your tree

  1. Excellent job on both Lynn. I made two of those Santas so I know how time consuming that beard was. He was fun to make though :)

  5. Hi Lynn, I did that pattern of the Santa last year. He was sooo much fun. I used a mop head for his beard, it was nice and soft, looked great too.
You are one busy Chickie, speaking of busy, best get back at my painting too, time is ticking now.
